She followed that passion to an art academy in Paris,
where she learned, experimented,
and began to find her own way of seeing.
She kept painting.
One work became a series.
One series led to another.
A few paintings appeared in small exhibitions.
Most were never shown.
They stayed in her studio,
stacked one behind another, seen by only a few.
Over more than thirty years,
they quietly became an archive of a life spent painting.
Now, for the first time,
these works are coming together and stepping out of the shadows.
Brought to light opens Luz’s hidden collection—a private world,
built over a lifetime, finally made visible.

For years, Luz has been fascinated by the round format. She has painted on circular canvases again and again, looking for balance, movement and perspective within the circle. Without straight edges to work against, the image has to find its own way to fit the shape.
