She followed that passion to an art academy in Paris,
where she learned, experimented,
and began to find her own way of seeing.
She kept painting.
One work became a series.
One series led to another.
A few paintings appeared in small exhibitions.
Most were never shown.
They stayed in her studio,
stacked one behind another, seen by only a few.
Over more than thirty years,
they quietly became an archive of a life spent painting.
Now, for the first time,
these works are coming together and stepping out of the shadows.
Brought to light opens Luz’s hidden collection—a private world,
built over a lifetime, finally made visible.

From Luz’s Cushion Fight collection (2003). Following the birth of her twin daughter and son in 2001, Luz's creative focus shifted toward the intimate realities of early parenthood. The years that followed resulted in a series of works with lively scenes of children at play and tender explorations of the mother-and-child bond. This piece captures that newfound maternal perspective, balancing chaotic joy and domestic warmth.
