She followed that passion to an art academy in Paris,
where she learned, experimented,
and began to find her own way of seeing.
She kept painting.
One work became a series.
One series led to another.
A few paintings appeared in small exhibitions.
Most were never shown.
They stayed in her studio,
stacked one behind another, seen by only a few.
Over more than thirty years,
they quietly became an archive of a life spent painting.
Now, for the first time,
these works are coming together and stepping out of the shadows.
Brought to light opens Luz’s hidden collection—a private world,
built over a lifetime, finally made visible.

A work from Luz’s Look What The Cat Brought Home Today collection (2000). Luz started painting this series when she lived in Rome. Almost every day one of the cats came home with a little present for her in the form of an insect, a mouse and once a little bird from the garden. This inspired her to paint LWTCBHT.
